Meet Kevin
Griz’z Cages was established in 2023 after acquiring an existing cage trap business, with a renewed focus on building reliable, field-tested trapping equipment.
The business is backed by decades of real-world experience. Owner Kevin brings over 50 years as a professional trapper and more than 20 years as a fur buyer, giving him firsthand knowledge of what works—and what doesn’t—when it comes to effective trapping.
After a lifetime in the field, Kevin took ownership of Griz’z Cages to create products designed with purpose. Every trap is built with durability, reliability, and real-world performance in mind—because trapping equipment should work where it matters most: outdoors, in unpredictable conditions.

I primarily target bobcats and larger predators on my cage lines. Still, I noticed I was missing opportunities to pick up marten and mink as I didn't have any suitable-sized cages. I spent months researching and shopping for a good marten/mink cage. I needed something extremely reliable, and most of the small cages on the market today are commercial-type brands that (in my opinion) are junk.
Then I found Grizz cages. I purchased ten Grizz cages of the small 7-inch size, and after a season of use, I must say: Awesome little cage! They are built very heavy-duty, the triggers are clean and crisp, and with a little adjustment of the trigger or dog rod, these traps can be set ultra light or as heavy as necessary to avoid small rodents tripping them. These are extremely reliable cages, and I can honestly say that if the animal commits to the cage, they don't miss!
After a season of using these, I can't imagine using anything else. They are by far the best small-sized cages on the market. I look forward to trying some of your larger cat-sized cages in the future as well! Thank you for the quality product.
